On August 20, in Hanoi, the National Assembly Office coordinated with Command 86 - Ministry of National Defense, Government Equipment Committee, Department A05 - Ministry of Public Security, and the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel) to organize a practical drill to ensure information security and respond to network incidents at the National Assembly Office.
In his opening speech, Director of the Digital Transformation Department Bui Danh Tuyen said that tens of thousands of cyber attacks each year on key information systems have shown the challenges of agencies and organizations related to the issue of ensuring cyberspace security and safety in the period of accelerating digital transformation.
According to Mr. Bui Danh Tuyen, at the National Assembly Office, the leaders of the National Assembly Office have issued close instructions, promptly and specifically to the units in charge of operating information systems on ensuring safety and security for the systems.
In particular, focusing on organizing drills to ensure network information security, improving readiness when network information security incidents occur at the National Assembly Office.
Director of the Digital Transformation Department Bui Danh Tuyen added that this is the second time the Office of the National Assembly has organized a practical drill to ensure network information security.
"In recent times, with increasing challenges in the field of information security, especially the risk of increasingly sophisticated, organized and large-scale cyber attacks, improving defense capacity, readiness to respond and handle incidents is a regular and continuous urgent task" - Director of the Digital Transformation Department Bui Danh Tuyen emphasized.
With the goal of being the text Management and Electronic Operation System, the drill program aims to test and evaluate the capacity of technical staff and the ability to coordinate between agencies and units in ensuring the safety of the information system. At the same time, improve response skills to possible practical situations.
Through the exercise, according to the Director of the Digital Transformation Department, this is an opportunity to review and check the incident response process, while contributing to raising awareness, strengthening capacity and being ready to respond to information security incidents.
The drill program was deployed from August 20 to 27, to be ready to respond to information security situations, improve the ability to prevent, combat and respond to network incidents.
The program helps the information technology team of the National Assembly Office grasp and practice skills to detect, handle and respond quickly to cyber attacks.
