On the morning of October 25, at 9:00 a.m., the Opening Ceremony and Summit of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime (also known as the Hanoi Convention) officially took place at the National Convention Center, Hanoi.
The event, hosted by Vietnam, has the theme "Fighting cybercrime - Sharing responsibility - Towards the future", marking an important step forward in global efforts to strengthen international cooperation, ensure security and safety in cyberspace.

The signing ceremony was attended by representatives of nearly 100 United Nations member states and more than 100 international and regional organizations, including agencies under the United Nations system, regional organizations, financial institutions, and a large number of experts and scholars in the field of cyber security and international law.
According to the program, Politburo member and President Luong Cuong and United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres will speak at the opening session of the Hanoi Convention signing ceremony.
Also on the first day of the signing ceremony and the High-level Conference on the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime - "Hanoi Convention", there will be a plenary Discussion Session co-chaired by Politburo member, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
Along with that are high-level bilateral meetings, a series of side-shaped discussion events on the topics: "Protecting citizens in the digital transformation era"; " Global cooperation in preventing and combating online fraud"; "Implementation of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime: Improving capacity is a pillar of global cooperation"; "Sharing experiences in investigation, collecting electronic evidence in cases related to virtual assets and money laundering".
