The Standing Committee of the National Assembly has just issued Resolution No. 1195/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Gia Lai province for the 2023-2025 period.
Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Pleiku City as follows:
Merge the entire natural area of 8.65 km2 and population of 6,355 people of Tan Son commune into Bien Ho commune. After merging, Bien Ho commune has a natural area of 28.84 km2 and a population of 16,734 people.
After the arrangement, Pleiku City has 21 commune-level administrative units, including 14 wards and 7 communes.
Arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Kbang district as follows:
Adjust a part of the natural area of 6.217 km2 and population of 284 people of Dak Hlo commune to merge into Nghia An commune. After adjustment, Nghia An commune has a natural area of 41.62 km2 and a population of 4,571 people.
Merge the entire natural area of 13.33 km2 and population of 2,597 people of Dak Hlo commune after adjustment according to regulations into Kong Bo La commune. After merging, Kong Bo La commune has a natural area of 54.2 km2 and a population of 5,889 people.
After the arrangement, Kbang district has 13 commune-level administrative units, including 12 communes and 1 town.
After rearranging commune-level administrative units, Gia Lai province has 17 district-level administrative units, including 14 districts, 2 towns and 1 city; 218 commune-level administrative units, including 180 communes, 24 wards and 14 towns.
This Resolution comes into force from November 1, 2024.
