On the morning of October 13, the first Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, held a spring meeting.
Speaking at the opening session, Ho Chi Minh City Party Secretary Tran Luu Quang said that the first Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress will officially open on the morning of October 14.
At the Congress, the decisions of the Politburo and the Secretariat on the appointment of the Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, the Secretariat, Deputy Secretaries, the Inspection Committee and the Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, term I, 2025 - 2030 will be announced.
Along with that, the Congress will also announce the decision to appoint delegates of the City Party Committee to the 14th National Congress of the Party.
Ho Chi Minh City Party Secretary Tran Luu Quang emphasized that the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress is a political event of special significance to the Party Committee, government and people of the city; at the same time, it attracts the attention and monitoring of agencies, organizations and people nationwide. The success of the Congress will contribute significantly to the success of the 14th National Party Congress.
Mr. Tran Luu Quang suggested that the delegates uphold their sense of responsibility, focus their intelligence, and maximize their role as representatives of the will and aspirations of more than 366,000 Party members in the entire Party Committee, thoroughly grasp the Congress's motto: "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Creativity", actively contribute to the overall success of the Congress.
According to Mr. Tran Luu Quang, this Congress marks a strong innovation in thinking and organization methods, when applying comprehensive information technology to save time, costs and improve work efficiency. The new point is that no paper documents are distributed to delegates, all content, programs, and documents are updated on the "Digital Congress" software.
The Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee also said that the document system of the Congress was built in a systematic, serious and elaborate manner. The drafting process has gone through many rounds of discussions, collecting comments at conferences, and being widely disseminated on mass media to attract public opinion.
In particular, the Politburo discussed and gave comprehensive and in-depth opinions on the documents. After that, the Document Subcommittee, the Standing Committee and the City Party Executive Committee compiled, accepted and finalized 6 draft before submitting to the Congress.
Therefore, Ho Chi Minh City Party Secretary Tran Luu Quang suggested that the delegates carefully study the content of the document, prepare quality opinions, proactively discuss and contribute to the development of important decisions of the City Party Committee in the new term.
