The Report on the review results of direction and administration work in 2025 and directions, tasks, and key solutions for direction and administration in 2026 of the Ministry of Home Affairs clearly stated a number of key tasks in 2026.

One of the notable tasks is to advise competent authorities to amend and supplement legal documents related to salaries and allowances for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and armed forces;

Continue to implement solutions to expand coverage and develop subjects participating in social insurance and unemployment insurance; support counseling, vocational skills training, introducing workers to find new jobs; develop propaganda and mobilization plans to participate in voluntary social insurance and household health insurance.

The Ministry of Home Affairs will also improve the system of multi-layered, flexible and modern social security policies. Continue to effectively and synchronously implement Directive No. 14-CT/TW of the Secretariat on strengthening the work of caring for people with meritorious services to the revolution to ensure timeliness, publicity, and transparency.

In addition, do a good job of implementing regimes and policies for people with meritorious services in a synchronous direction with other social policies to ensure harmony, meet social security requirements, and constantly improve the material and spiritual life for people with meritorious services, relatives and revolutionary families.

Promote the payment of preferential allowances to people with meritorious services without cash and payment through service organizations suitable to local conditions; build a database on people with meritorious services.

At the 2025 Conference of Cadres, Civil Servants, Public Employees and Employees of the Ministry of Home Affairs held on the afternoon of January 12, 2026, Acting Chief of Office of the Ministry of Home Affairs Bui Huy Tung said that the Ministry of Home Affairs has issued action programs and plans to implement resolutions and conclusions of the Central Government, the Politburo, the Secretariat, the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, and the Government's Resolutions.
