At the 2025 Conference of Cadres, Civil Servants, Public Employees and Employees of the Ministry of Home Affairs held on the afternoon of January 12, Acting Chief of Office of the Ministry of Home Affairs Bui Huy Tung said that the Ministry of Home Affairs has issued action programs and plans to implement resolutions and conclusions of the Central Government, the Politburo, the Secretariat, the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, and the Government's Resolutions.
Based on the direction of the Ministry's leaders, units have urgently and promptly organized the dissemination and promulgation of work plans and programs for implementation.
Especially the key and important tasks of building and perfecting institutions, summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, 19-NQ/TW of the 12th Central Executive Committee; streamlining the apparatus of the political system, operating effectively and efficiently; arranging administrative units and local government organizations at 2 levels.
Implementing the policy of arranging and streamlining the central apparatus, according to the Acting Chief of Office of the Ministry, the Ministry of Home Affairs has proactively advised on summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW. Accordingly, after implementing the arrangement of the apparatus of the 15th Government, it was streamlined, including: 14 ministries, 3 ministerial-level agencies, 5 agencies under the Government.
Regarding the arrangement and consolidation of specialized agencies under People's Committees at all levels, the whole country has established 467 specialized agencies under provincial People's Committees and 9,916 commune-level specialized departments established in communes, wards, and special zones.
To date, the whole country has 34 provinces and cities and 3,321 communes, wards, and special zones. From July 1, 2025, local authorities at 2 levels officially operate. After 5 months of implementation, the system of governments at all levels basically operates stably, neatly, has positive changes and is increasingly effective.
The outstanding results in the past year of the Ministry of Home Affairs must be mentioned is the attention and direction of synchronous, timely, and effective implementation; the social security system is increasingly progressive and continues to be a solid pillar for political stability, social order and safety, and sustainable development of the country.
In which, Mr. Bui Huy Tung emphasized that salary and social insurance work closely follows the socio-economic development situation, the ability to balance the budget and the price level to promptly research and adjust the base salary and regional minimum wage. From there, towards ensuring the lives of salaried people, creating motivation to work, and maintaining social and labor market stability.
In addition, the work of people with meritorious services to the revolution is fully and promptly deployed, to the right subjects and regimes. Preferential policies for people with meritorious services and their relatives are implemented seriously, contributing to caring for material and spiritual life, clearly demonstrating the nation's "When drinking water, remember the source" morality.
