    According to the plan of arranging administrative units at the grassroots level in Soc Trang province after the arrangement, the province will reduce from 108 communes, wards and townships remaining 43 units (8 wards and 35 communes).

For example, Ke Sach district decreased from 13 to 6 communes; Long Phu, My Xuyen each district from 11 communes and towns is expected to arrange only 4 communes after each district; My Tu district from 9 to 4 communes. In particular, Cu Lao Dung district decreased from 8 communes and towns remaining 2 communes.
