The local government has asked a business household in Cam Le district to temporarily stop producing vermicelli waiting for test results after people reported the phenomenon of fresh vermicelli turning unusually red after only a few hours.

On the evening of July 8, the leader of the People's Committee of Hoa Xuan Ward (Cam Le District, Da Nang City) confirmed that he had sent a report to the city's authorities about the suspected change in color of fresh vermicelli in the area.
Accordingly, after receiving feedback from Ms. V.T.L (residing in Hoa Xuan ward) about the noodles purchased at the market changing from white to red, the ward People's Committee quickly took action to verify.
Through investigation, Ms. L. said that she had purchased the above noodles from a retailer, Ms. N.T.P. at a market in Hoa Xuan ward. From Ms. P.'s testimony, the working group identified the source of the vermicelli as the business household of Mr. D.Q.H (also residing in Hoa Xuan ward).

Regarding legal documents, Mr. H.'s facility has a Business Certificate and a Health Examination Certificate. However, the Certificate of Food Safety Eligibility has expired since January 25.
In the immediate future, the working group has taken red noodle samples to send to the specialized agencies of Da Nang city for testing and clarifying the cause.

The People's Committee of Hoa Xuan Ward has issued a decision requesting Mr. D.Q.H's business household to pay. must temporarily suspend all vermicelli production activities until there are official test results and permission to resume operations from the competent authority.
Previously, as reported, on the morning of July 6, Ms. V.T.L. bought 15,000 VND worth of noodles at a stall in the market to give to his family. At around 9pm the same day, she discovered that the unused noodles had turned red, the noodles were soft and slightly wet. By the next morning (7.), all the remaining vermicelli had turned red. Even when adding the vermicelli to the water, the water is dyed red.
The case is being urgently clarified by the authorities of Da Nang City.
