On October 25, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, the Politburo and the Secretariat held a ceremony to hand over the Decision assigning Mr. Tran Cam Tu - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee to assume the position of Standing Secretary of the Secretariat to replace Comrade Luong Cuong, Politburo member, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat who was elected by the National Assembly to hold the position of President, according to VNA.
General Secretary To Lam attended and chaired the Decision handover ceremony. Also attending were members of the Politburo, members of the Secretariat, and representatives of the Central Organizing Committee, the Central Inspection Committee, and the Central Party Office.
At the ceremony, General Secretary To Lam presented Decision No. 1616-QDNS/TW dated October 25, 2024 of the Politburo assigning Mr. Tran Cam Tu - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee to hold the position of Standing member of the 13th Party Central Committee Secretariat, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee.
In his speech assigning tasks, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that the Politburo had unanimously agreed to assign Mr. Tran Cam Tu to assume the position of Standing Secretary of the Secretariat. This is an important task in the context of the entire Party actively preparing for congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress.
The Politburo believes that Mr. Tran Cam Tu, a senior leader, has received basic training, matured from the grassroots, has deep expertise and a lot of working experience, and has held many important leadership positions of the Party at the central and local levels.
In particular, as Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee, Mr. Tran Cam Tu and the Central Inspection Committee have performed well the tasks of inspection, supervision, and advice to the Politburo and the Secretariat to review, conclude, and strictly and promptly handle many new, difficult, complicated, and serious cases, contributing significantly to the success of the work of Party building and rectification and the political system, and the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity in recent times.
General Secretary To Lam requested Mr. Tran Cam Tu to quickly approach and perform well the duties and tasks of the Standing Secretariat as stipulated in the Working Regulations of the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat of the 13th tenure, together with the General Secretary to lead and direct the handling of the Party's daily work; direct the Central Party Office and relevant agencies to organize and implement the work program well; direct and coordinate the activities of the Party apparatus at the Central level, ensuring the smooth, unified, and synchronous operation of the political system.
The General Secretary asked Mr. Tran Cam Tu to focus on directing the Central Party Office and relevant agencies to successfully complete preparations for party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress...
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Cam Tu respectfully thanked General Secretary To Lam, the Politburo, and the Secretariat for entrusting him with this important task of the Party. This is a recognition, encouragement, and also a requirement for individuals to continue to strive, practice, and make every effort to complete the assigned tasks.
Mr. Tran Cam Tu emphasized that this is a great honor and at the same time a heavy responsibility at a time when the whole country is focusing on successfully implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress; actively preparing for Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress, the Congress marking a new development stage of the country, an era of national growth.
Fully aware of the honor and responsibility assigned to him, Mr. Tran Cam Tu affirmed that he will continuously uphold his sense of responsibility, political courage, inherit and promote the experience of previous leaders to meet the increasingly high demands of the Party and the people.
With a large amount of work, Mr. Tran Cam Tu hopes to continue receiving coordination, sharing, support and assistance from agencies and units to complete the task well.
