On December 9, at the 28th session of the 17th Hai Duong Provincial People's Council, the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee reported on the implementation of the socio-economic development plan for 2024 and the socio-economic development plan for 2025.
At this session, the People's Council of Hai Duong province reviewed reports of the Provincial People's Committee, appraisal reports of the Provincial People's Council Committees, discussed and assessed the implementation of the socio-economic development plan, public investment, results of the implementation of the local budget estimate for 2024, and the plan for 2025.
Assessing the implementation of tasks in 2024, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Le Van Hieu said that Hai Duong province's economic growth is estimated at 10.2%, ranking 6th and 1.5 times higher than the national average; the scale of total product at current prices is estimated at over 212 trillion VND, 1.14 times higher than in 2023.
Budget revenue is estimated at over 28 trillion VND, up 46.7% compared to the estimate, the highest ever, 16/16 revenue items reached and exceeded the set plan.
The province has focused on accelerating progress, planning to invest in completing 13 projects; including 4 inter-regional transport projects, which have contributed to creating new momentum and space for development. Some difficulties and problems in investment procedures and project implementation, especially problems in site clearance over the past years, have been gradually resolved. Focus on attracting investment in building social housing.
The handling of slow-progressing projects in the area has achieved initial results. Actively and proactively issue documents according to authority to organize the implementation of the Land Law, Housing Law 2024, new legal documents and decrees guiding their implementation.
