So that all union members and workers can have Tet
The Hai Duong Provincial Federation of Labor has just planned to organize activities to care for union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025. Priority will be given to workers in especially difficult circumstances, with serious illnesses, occupational accidents, and those affected by natural disasters, storms, and floods, and workers who stay at their units and businesses to work and produce, ensuring that all union members and workers have a joyful, meaningful, and warm Tet holiday.
According to Mr. Hoang Trong Hien - Deputy Head of the Department of Legal Policy and Labor Relations, Hai Duong Provincial Labor Federation, to best care for union members and employees on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Provincial Labor Federation will increase the socialization of resources, mobilize organizations, individuals, and businesses to accompany and support resources for the Trade Union to carry out activities to care for union members and employees during Tet.
The Hai Duong Provincial Federation of Labor will support train, bus, plane tickets, and other means of transportation for union members and workers to return home to celebrate Tet, organize spring and Tet activities, visit and encourage union members and workers who are unable to return home to celebrate Tet.
At the same time, the Provincial Federation of Labor directed grassroots unions to make a list of union members and workers who are still facing difficulties and have low incomes to support them with a level of VND500,000/person. The Provincial Federation of Labor also prepared many gifts, each worth VND1,300,000/person, to give to union members and workers.
Many Tet programs for workers
With the motto "All union members and workers have Tet", the Hai Duong Provincial Labor Federation plans to organize many programs to celebrate Tet for union members and workers, typically the two programs "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Dang" and the program "Tet Union Market 2025". The two programs will take place in 3 days from January 10 to January 12, 2025.
At the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Dang", Hai Duong Provincial Labor Federation will organize free activities for union members and workers such as legal advice, health advice, social insurance advice, telecommunication services, free haircuts, ... along with giving Tet gifts and bus fares to union members and workers.
At the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan On Party", Hai Duong Provincial Labor Federation will organize many booths selling essential goods with discounts of 15% or more. The Provincial Labor Federation will give away 3,000 shopping vouchers (worth 100,000 VND/voucher), to be used when purchasing goods at the program with a total value of 150,000 VND or more. At the same time, the program "Zero-VND Booth" will distribute 2,000 shopping vouchers with a price of 0 VND to union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
Along with organizing care for union members and workers, the Provincial Federation of Labor assigned trade unions at all levels to participate in and closely inspect the implementation of policies for union members and workers during Tet.
Grassroots trade unions proactively publicize salary and bonus payment plans at least 30 days before Tet holiday, supervise the implementation of salary and bonus payment, working conditions, working time, rest time, overtime, ensuring satisfactory benefits for union members and employees working overtime during Tet holiday.
The grassroots trade union (CDCS) will base on the situation of union members and employees staying in the locality and unit to organize warm and joyful activities bearing the Union's mark. In case many union members and employees do not return to their hometowns for Tet, organize the program "Tet not far from home" or other suitable forms of activities.
Grassroots unions must promptly report to higher-level unions if enterprises are facing difficulties in production and business, enterprises are dissolved and bankrupt, business owners have absconded, or have not paid or cannot pay salaries and bonuses to union members and employees before Tet.
