Thanh Hoa - The province sets a GRDP growth target of 14.44% in the last 6 months of 2026, thereby completing the full-year growth rate of 11%.

On the afternoon of July 15, Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee held a conference to listen to a report on the plan to implement the economic growth scenario for the last 6 months of 2026 in the province.

According to the plan, Thanh Hoa sets a target for the growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in the last 6 months of the year to reach 14.44%, thereby bringing the growth rate for the whole year 2026 to 11% according to the target assigned by the Government.

In the last 6 months of the year, the province strives to create more than 20,000 billion VND of added value at comparable prices in 2020. The GRDP scale at current prices is expected to reach 215.474 billion VND in the last 6 months of the year and 393.013 billion VND for the whole year 2026.

To achieve the goal, Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee requires each assigned task to ensure the "6 clarity" principle, including: clarity of people, clarity of tasks, clarity of time, clarity of responsibilities, clarity of authority and clarity of products.

Departments, agencies, branches, units and People's Committees of communes and wards are responsible for concretizing tasks to each department, affiliated unit, assigned individual and the focal point for monitoring and supporting investors and businesses.

Each task is assigned to only one presiding agency, fully responsible for the progress, quality and results of implementation. Coordinating agencies must fully complete the tasks under their functions and tasks; provide information and give opinions on time, not shirking, avoiding or transferring responsibility to the presiding agency.

For work under their authority, agencies and units must proactively resolve it immediately. In case of exceeding authority, they must report to the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in charge within no more than 2 working days from the time of occurrence, and at the same time propose specific handling plans.

Every month, the lead agency must review and compare the implementation results with the assigned targets; determine the unfinished value, analyze the causes and develop a compensation plan in the following month.

At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Anh - Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee - requested functional sectors to continue to review and carefully calculate the growth scenario in the last 6 months of the year, deploy with the highest determination and effort to complete the 11% growth target.

According to the Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, the locality has some fundamental factors to promote growth, including putting 34 new production and business projects with a total investment of more than 40,000 billion VND into operation and exploitation.

The province is also focusing on removing difficulties for hundreds of backlog and prolonged projects; and at the same time attracting more new investment projects, especially in the energy sector, in order to create motivation to achieve the set growth target.
