On December 1, the Government Office announced that Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed Decision No. 1488/QD-TTg to complete the personnel of the National Traffic Safety Committee.
Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Sy Hiep, Deputy Head of the Government Office and Standing Member of the National Traffic Safety Committee, replaced Mr. Cao Huy.
This Decision takes effect from November 30, 2024.
According to Decision No. 22/2017/QD-TTg dated June 22, 2017 of the Prime Minister, the National Traffic Safety Committee is an interdisciplinary coordination organization, with the function of assisting the Prime Minister in directing ministries, branches and localities to implement national strategies and projects on ensuring traffic order and safety and deploying interdisciplinary solutions to ensure traffic order and safety nationwide.
The National Traffic Safety Committee is responsible for researching and proposing to the Prime Minister plans to organize the implementation of national strategies, projects, and inter-sectoral coordination solutions on ensuring traffic order and safety to promote efficiency and synchronization in ensuring traffic order and safety. Guide ministries, branches, and localities to coordinate implementation after approval.
In addition, it helps the Prime Minister direct and manage coordination activities between ministries, branches and localities to resolve and overcome the consequences of particularly serious traffic accidents and sudden and complicated issues that need to be focused on related to traffic order and safety nationwide.
Assist the Prime Minister in inspecting and urging ministries, branches and localities to implement the directions of the Government, the Prime Minister, national strategies and projects and inter-sectoral solutions on ensuring traffic order and safety.
