Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has just signed and issued Official Dispatch No. 4/CD-TTg dated January 16, 2025 of the Prime Minister on strengthening traffic order and safety during the Lunar New Year 2025 and the Spring Festival 2025.
According to the dispatch, during the Lunar New Year and Spring Festival 2025, traffic volume is forecasted to continue to increase, creating great pressure on ensuring traffic order and safety, with the potential risk of traffic congestion and traffic accidents.
The Prime Minister requested ministries, agencies and localities to continue to promote the implementation of Official Dispatch No. 132/CD-TTg of the Prime Minister; at the same time, focus on the following contents:
Have a plan to meet the increased travel demand, effectively respond to common violations of traffic order and safety during holidays and Tet to ensure safety for traffic participants and best serve the travel needs of the people; prevent and stop traffic jams and traffic accidents.
Strengthening medical staff, equipment and supplies to ensure the highest capacity in medical examination and treatment, especially emergency care and treatment of traffic accident victims, minimizing human losses.
Media agencies increase the duration and content of propaganda on traffic order and safety during the Lunar New Year and Spring Festival 2025.
Focus on disseminating and popularizing traffic safety laws; providing guidance on safe traffic participation skills, especially on highways; supporting information to guide people on traveling during Tet holidays; transportation service plans; lessons learned from traffic accidents during holidays in previous years.
Persistently propagate to the people to follow the traffic safety rules "If you drink alcohol, beer - do not drive"; do not use the phone while driving; wear a standard helmet when riding a motorbike, motorbike, electric bicycle; wear a seat belt when sitting in a car, comply with speed regulations.
Propaganda to support the implementation of tasks of functional forces in charge of ensuring traffic order and safety; commend information on good people, good deeds and good traffic culture behaviors.
Regularly update the situation of traffic accidents, traffic jams, high risks of traffic accidents on roads, railway crossings, inland waterways, main traffic routes, key traffic units, areas where events and festivals are held.
The plans of the People's Committees of provinces and cities must be specific, have a detailed list of tasks, assign responsible agencies and allocate resources for implementation. During the implementation process, there must be supervision, urging, summarizing and quantitatively evaluating the effectiveness with specific indicators.
Assign competent units to organize 24/7 duty, report on the situation of ensuring traffic order and safety during the 9-day Lunar New Year holiday, from January 25, 2025 to February 2, 2025 to the National Traffic Safety Committee.
Assign the National Traffic Safety Committee to monitor and urge the implementation of this Official Dispatch, synthesize and report to the Prime Minister the implementation results before 3:00 p.m. on February 2, 2025.
