Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has just signed and issued Official Dispatch No. 132/CD-TTg dated August 12, 2025 of the Prime Minister on overcoming the consequences of a serious work accident at the North-South Expressway construction investment project, Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh section in Dak Lak province.
The dispatch was sent to the Ministers of the Ministries of Construction, Public Security, and Home Affairs; Chairmen of the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities.
The dispatch clearly stated that according to information from the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, at around 9:17 a.m. on August 11, a serious work accident occurred during the construction of the North-South Expressway investment project, Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh section in Tuy An Bac commune, Dak Lak province, causing 2 deaths and 1 injury.
The initial cause was determined to be the collapse of the phage trunk while building a system to solidify the project.
Immediately after the accident, leaders of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, investor, and project supervision consultants directly went to the scene of the accident to direct the handling of the consequences, visit and support the families of the victims in the accident.
In order to promptly overcome the consequences and take measures to prevent similar accidents, the Prime Minister requested the leaders of the Ministry of Construction and the People's Committee of Dak Lak province to urgently organize visits, support and encourage victims and families of victims who died in the accident.
At the same time, he directed the authorities to urgently overcome the consequences, stabilize the construction site, urgently investigate, clarify the cause of the accident, clarify the responsibilities of relevant organizations and individuals, and strictly handle violations according to the provisions of law (if any).
The Ministry of Public Security directs Dak Lak Provincial Police to coordinate with relevant agencies to urgently investigate and clarify the cause of the accident, and strictly handle violations according to the provisions of law (if any).
In addition, the Ministry of Construction coordinates with the Ministry of Home Affairs, People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities to direct competent agencies to strengthen inspection and supervision work, ensuring absolute safety during the construction of works and projects, preventing similar incidents and accidents from occurring.
