At noon on August 11, the leader of Tuy An Bac commune, Dak Lak province informed about the work accident at the Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh expressway construction site through the commune.
Initial information shows that 2 workers died and one person was injured and taken to the emergency room. Currently, the authorities are organizing a crime scene investigation and investigating the cause of the accident.
The Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh Expressway has a total length of 61.7km (excluding the 5.1km section through the Cu Mong tunnel).
The project passes through Gia Lai province for 19.6km, and through Dak Lak for more than 42km. The total investment of the project is more than 14,800 billion VND, invested by Project Management Board 85.
The project started in early 2023, with a completion schedule of December 2025 and is expected to shorten the basic completion time to September 2025.
The parties are striving to complete the entire project before September 30, 2025
