Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Official Dispatch No. 24/CD-TTg dated March 22, 2025 on focusing on overcoming the consequences of the forest fire in Hoang Khai commune, Yen Son district, Tuyen Quang province and proactively implementing forest fire prevention and fighting.
The dispatch stated that from the night of March 21 to the morning of March 22, a forest fire occurred in Hoang Khai commune, Yen Son district, Tuyen Quang province, killing 1 person, damaging over 20 hectares of forest, and so far, the fire has been extinguished.
The Prime Minister sent his condolences, encouragement and commendation to the military, police, militia and people for their urgent coordination, timely implementation of fire fighting work throughout the night, quickly controlling and extinguishing the fire.
At the same time, the head of the Government sent his most sincere condolences to the families of the deceased victims and shared the difficulties of the households affected by the forest fire.
To overcome the consequences of the forest fire in Tuyen Quang province, and at the same time be proactive in forest fire prevention and fighting, especially in the upcoming hot period, the Prime Minister requested:
The Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee continues to direct the quick recovery of the consequences of the forest fire in Hoang Khai commune, Yen Son district, Tuyen Quang province, organize visits, encourage and support the families of the deceased victims and families affected by the forest fire, not to let people go hungry, alone, or have difficulties without attention and support.
Timely determine the cause of the fire, as a basis for handling responsibilities if there are signs of violating regulations on forest fire prevention and fighting, at the same time, disseminate and learn from people's experiences to avoid similar incidents.
Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities are responsible to the Government and the Prime Minister for forest fire prevention and fighting in the area, proactively directing and implementing forest fire prevention and fighting.
Direct local authorities and functional forces to strictly implement their responsibilities in forest fire prevention and fighting. Strengthen urging, inspecting and supervising forest fire prevention and fighting, in which the motto is to take prevention as the main goal, fire fighting must be carried out early, from the grassroots.
Tightly control people's use of fire in forests and near forests, especially in the fields, use fire to treat vegetation, promptly prevent and strictly handle acts of using fire that pose a high risk of causing forest fires, especially during dry and hot weather.
Organize close monitoring and supervision, promptly detect fire spots; proactively direct and deploy fire fighting when forest fires occur in the area, paying special attention to evacuation work to ensure the safety of people's lives, mobilizing forces to participate in controlling and extinguishing forest fires in the shortest time.
Proactively directing competent authorities to investigate and clearly identify the causes of forest fires, strictly handle those who intentionally violate legal regulations on forest fire prevention and fighting. Responsibility for heads of agencies and organizations if there is a lack of responsibility in leading and directing forest fires.
The Ministers of the Ministries of National Defense and Public Security direct the forces stationed in the area to proactively develop the highest support plans for forest fire fighting in the stationed area, and be ready to mobilize forces, vehicles, and equipment to participate in forest fire fighting when requested by the locality.
