Highly appreciating the priorities "Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainable Development", Prime Minister Le Minh Hung proposed three major orientations for BRICS to promote its role in the coming period.

First, shifting from responding to fluctuations to proactively improving the resilience and self-reliance of economies through strengthening cooperation and supporting developing countries to consolidate flexible policy planning capacity, strategic governance and forecasting, improve labor productivity, self-reliance and dynamism of the economy, promptly prevent crises and proactively respond to shocks, especially in the economic, financial and cross-border challenges today.

Second, shifting from expanding the scale of cooperation to renewing traditional growth drivers in parallel with creating new, inclusive and sustainable growth drivers through strengthening policy coordination on trade and investment, opening up markets, promoting existing financial institutions and mobilizing more long-term resources at reasonable costs to help developing countries have a fairer access to capital sources for digital transformation and green transformation.

Third, transform cooperation opportunities in science and technology, innovation into specific programs and projects, serving the common interests of countries through joint research activities, human resource training, technology transfer, especially in highly contagious fields such as artificial intelligence, digital technology, smart agriculture, and clean energy.

The Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam is ready to accompany BRICS with a sense of responsibility, goodwill and practical cooperation to build a peaceful, prosperous, sustainable and inclusive future for all nations and all people.
