On March 25, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a letter of commendation to the Department of Drug Crime Investigation of the Ministry of Public Security; Khanh Hoa Provincial Police.
In the Letter of Commendation, the Prime Minister was pleased to know that the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security presided over and coordinated with the Khanh Hoa Provincial Police, the Department of Technical and Criminal Science Department of the Ministry of Public Security; the Khanh Hoa Provincial Customs Branch, the Anti-smuggling Investigation Branch, the Ministry of Finance Customs; the Supreme People's Procuracy has successfully organized the successful fight against Project 199D to eliminate a particularly large-scale illegal drug production ring in Khanh Hoa province.
The drug illegal production ring was carried out by Chinese and Taiwanese (Chinese) subjects in collusion with Vietnamese subjects, seizing nearly 1.4 tons of ketamine, nearly 80 tons of chemicals, precursors and many related evidences, arresting 11 subjects, ensuring absolute safety for the forces participating in the investigation and solving the case.
The Prime Minister warmly commended and highly appreciated the outstanding achievements of the participating forces. This achievement demonstrated intelligence, determination in attacking, suppressing crime, hitting large, transnational drug production lines correctly and accurately.
At the same time, it contributes to preventing drug supply, preventing Vietnam from being an international drug transit area, contributing to building a drug-free environment in the country and the region.
This achievement also demonstrates the close international cooperation between the Vietnamese Public Security Forces and the Chinese Public Security Forces and the effective coordination and combat cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security and relevant agencies.
The Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Public Security and the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province to have forms of commendation and propose competent authorities to commend worthy collectives and individuals directly participating in the fight against the project.
At the same time, directing the authorities to continue fighting, expanding, and thoroughly dismantling this drug crime ring, urgently consolidating documents and evidence to strictly handle the subjects before the law.
Closely coordinate with relevant ministries and branches to organize propaganda work well, contributing to creating a strong atmosphere in attacking and suppressing drug crimes.
