Prime Minister inspects the implementation of two-level local government in An Giang

An Giang - On July 21, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the working delegation inspected the operation of the two-level local government in Thoi Son ward.

Thoi Son ward has a border length of about 5.5km, with 2 border markers bordering the Kingdom of Cambodia. The ward was established with a total natural area of 49.36 km2, population of 33,045 people, of which the Khmer ethnic minority accounts for 3.2%. The whole ward has 15,714 people of working age, of which 7,525 are female workers.

The ward has 12 hamlets, with 81 cadres, civil servants, and 42 part-time workers. It is expected that by the end of 2025, there will be a reduction of 2 poor households and 16 near-poor households, leaving 23 poor households, accounting for 0.32% and 168 near-poor households, accounting for 2.36%.

The Ward People's Committee also said that from July 1 to July 18, the Ward Public Administration Service Center received and processed 660 records. The reception department of the Land Registration Office receives 129 dossiers.

The ward focuses on repairing and upgrading the headquarters of the Public Administration Service Center to be more open and spacious; arranging necessary equipment and conditions for smooth operation, promptly serving people and businesses. Working style, attitude, service... are initially well appreciated by people and businesses.

At the survey, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh kindly visited and encouraged officials and civil servants working at the Public Administration Service Center; and asked about the situation of people coming to do procedures.

Working with the leaders of the Ward People's Committee, the Prime Minister stated: the whole country has determined growth of over 8%, as well as An Giang province. Localities and provinces must do many ways to develop the socio-economy, through promoting public investment, stimulating consumption, diversifying and stabilizing export markets. Focus on taking care of social security so that no one is left behind; ensure health and education for the people.

The Prime Minister requested to review socio-economic development, education, and social security, leaders must pay attention to, the arrangement of the government apparatus must not affect people's lives. Develop cultural and spiritual life; Maintain peaceful and friendly borders, help people on both sides travel and do business.

The Prime Minister also suggested that the Youth Union and the Women's Union launch a movement of light, green, clean and beautiful, raising people's awareness of protecting the environment.
