To express condolences on the passing of comrade Zhou Rongji, former member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, former Prime Minister of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, on August 18, Politburo member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung led a delegation of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front to pay respects and record in the mourning book at the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam.
General Secretary and President To Lam; Member of the Politburo, Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man and Member of the Politburo, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu sent wreaths of condolences.
At the funeral, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung conveyed the deep condolences of General Secretary and President To Lam, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu and Vietnamese leaders to General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, Chinese leaders and the family of comrade Zhu Rongji.
Prime Minister Le Minh Hung affirmed that the Party, State and people of Vietnam appreciate the enthusiasm, feelings and important contributions of comrade Chu Dung Co to the relations between the two Parties, the two countries and the people of Vietnam - China.
Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Ha Vi respectfully conveyed the thanks of General Secretary, President Xi Jinping and Chinese leaders to General Secretary, President To Lam and key Vietnamese leaders who sent telegrams and wreaths of condolences; sincerely thanked Prime Minister Le Minh Hung for leading the delegation of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front to pay respects and record in the mourning book.
Ambassador Ha Vi affirmed that the Party, State and people of China always value, prioritize and are ready to further promote the friendly relationship, Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership, and the Vietnam - China Community of Shared Future with strategic significance; believing that under the leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam led by General Secretary and President To Lam and the administration and management of the Government and Prime Minister, Vietnam will successfully implement development goals in the new era.
Affirming the consistent policy of always valuing and prioritizing relations with China, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung emphasized the concern and practical contribution of generations of leaders of the two countries to Vietnam-China relations as an important foundation for the two sides to continue to preserve and promote, and strive to bring Vietnam-China relations to stable and sustainable development.
Accordingly, the Prime Minister requested the two sides to continue to closely coordinate, strengthen high-level and all-level contacts, promote substantive cooperation fields according to high-level common understanding, bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries.
