On September 13, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 2017/QD-TTg approving the election results for the position of Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Pham Duc An - Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
Previously, the Secretariat decided to transfer and appoint Mr. Pham Duc An - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province, a delegate of the 15th National Assembly, to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; introduce to the City People's Council to elect him as Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
On the morning of September 8, at the 3rd session (special session), the 10th term of the Da Nang City People's Council, term 2021-2026, elected Mr. Pham Duc An - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee to hold the position of Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee for the term 2021-2026.
Mr. Pham Duc An, born on February 1, 1970; hometown Thanh Long commune, Nghe An province; is a delegate of the 15th National Assembly. Mr. Pham Duc An has the following qualifications: Bachelor of Economic Law, Bachelor of Banking and Finance, Master of Business Administration; Senior in political theory.
Mr. Pham Duc An used to hold the position of Deputy General Director of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam, Chief of the Office of the State Bank of Vietnam, Vice Chairman, Chairman of the Board of Members of Agribank.
In December 2024, the Secretariat transferred and appointed him to join the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, holding the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
After that, the Provincial People's Council elected him to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province, term XIV, 2021-2026.
