On April 24, in Hanoi, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh - Head of the Government Steering Committee on science, technology development, innovation, digital transformation - worked with the leaders of the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology.
The academy is oriented to transform digitally to be a breakthrough, soon standing among the top educational and training institutions in ASEAN; aiming to soon become the first digital university in Vietnam.
Speaking at the meeting, the Prime Minister stated that it is necessary to continue to closely monitor the situation and forecast trends, on that basis, set out development goals, tasks and solutions in accordance with trends, development requirements and expectations of the country and the people.
Regarding tasks and solutions, the Prime Minister requested the Academy to implement "5 pioneers":
Pioneering in "4 houses" connection, including State, schools, scientists, business houses - investment.
Pioneering in scientific research, innovation, startups, digital transformation.
Pioneering in creating talent and developing startup "unicorns".
Pioneering in product autonomy and commercialization.
Pioneering in daring to think, daring to do, daring to surpass one's limits. The spirit is "more fast, more rapid, more bold, more daring".
To implement these 5 pioneers, the Prime Minister said that the pillars are: Strengthening and promoting solidarity and unity, "calling for support, calling for support", "on and off the go, all the way through smoothly"; valuing time, intelligence and decisiveness at the right time.
Building a school as a foundation, teachers as motivation, inspiring students, students as the center, all activities of the school must be aimed at students and students must contribute to the development of the school.
Closely connect learning and working; contribute to "changing the situation, turning the state" of the country in strategic infrastructure, especially digital transformation infrastructure, high-quality human resources, developing the digital economy, digital society, digital citizens, digital government.
Giving opinions on the school's proposals and recommendations, the Prime Minister also emphasized the requirement for state management ministries and branches to limit specific work but focus on building strategies, institutions, mechanisms, development policies, mechanisms to mobilize development resources, leadership and direction for rapid and sustainable development of sectors and fields.
Design tools to inspect, urge, supervise, and evaluate; promote decentralization and delegation of authority, and assign tasks to those who do the best and most effectively.
