Faced with this situation, the Prime Minister requested to drastically direct functional forces to launch campaigns, focus resources, and immediately implement necessary measures to fight, prevent, and handle acts of intellectual property rights infringement nationwide from May 7, 2026 to May 30, 2026, strictly implement legal regulations and strictly handle violations in the spirit of no forbidden zones, no exceptions.
The Ministry of Public Security presides over and coordinates with relevant ministries and agencies to focus on verifying, investigating, and prosecuting a number of cases of serious infringement of copyright, related rights, trademarks and geographical indications in accordance with legal regulations.
Cracking down on websites and organizations operating websites that infringe on online copyright with large traffic, especially websites that store and provide movies, music, mobile electronic games, illegal TV shows using Vietnamese and foreign languages, especially English.
The Ministry of National Defense focuses on directing the border guard force, coast guard and related forces to closely coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security, relevant agencies, and localities to drastically implement assigned tasks on fighting, preventing, and handling acts of intellectual property rights infringement according to regulations.
It is proposed that the Supreme People's Procuracy and the Supreme People's Court promote the activities of prosecuting and adjudicating intellectual property cases, ensuring strict and deterrent handling, in accordance with legal regulations; in which focus on investigating, prosecuting, and adjudicating a number of typical cases.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism immediately organizes inspections of compliance with regulations on computer program copyright at enterprises and copyright of films, music, television programs, electronic games on the network environment; focus on handling immediately or transferring to competent authorities for handling according to regulations serious violations, ensuring that the number of cases handled increases by at least 20% compared to May 2025.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade, People's Committees of provinces and cities, according to their functions, tasks, and authority, focus on directing market management forces to closely coordinate with functional agencies to strengthen inspection, control, supervision, and strictly handle cases of intellectual property rights infringement, especially industrial property and counterfeit trademarks, ensuring that the number of cases handled increases by at least 20% compared to May 2025.
The Ministry of Finance directs customs forces to closely coordinate with functional agencies to strengthen inspection of import and export goods across borders; proactively suspend customs procedures for goods when there is a clear basis that they are counterfeit goods in terms of intellectual property.
Ensure that the number of cases suspending customs clearance procedures and being handled increases by at least 20% compared to May 2025.
