On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the Vietnam National United Front's Traditional Day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2025) and the National Great Unity Day, on November 17, Mr. Tran Cam Tu - Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat attended and celebrated the Festival with the people of Ho Sen and Ngoi Len villages (Thach Ba commune, Lao Cai province).
Also attending was Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha - Vice President, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Speaking to ethnic minorities in the commune, the Standing Committee of the Secretariat emphasized: Thac Ba commune is a land rich in historical, cultural and revolutionary traditions, where many ethnic groups live together, of which ethnic minorities account for 38.3%.
Through the resistance wars to protect the Fatherland, Thac Ba commune has made many contributions to the strength of people and the strength of the people, working with the army and people of the whole country to fight for independence and freedom for the country and the nation.
Thac Ba commune manages part of the lake area, where Thac Ba hydropower plant is located, the first hydropower project in Vietnam. The Thac Ba Lake area still has relics and cultural and religious sites, including Thac Ba Temple, which is recognized as a national historical relic associated with the worship of the Mother, and has become a prominent destination, planned as a potential tourist area.
Implementing the National Target Program on new rural construction for the period 2021-2025, the predecessor communes of Thac Ba commune such as Dai Minh commune have been recognized as model rural communes, Thac Ba town is recognized as a type 5 urban area and is considered one of the typical communes.
In Ho Sen and Ngoi Len villages alone, the total natural area is more than 337 hectares, with 239 households and more than 1,000 people of 4 ethnic groups living together.
In 2025, people in residential areas actively responded, with 23 households voluntarily donating 1,200m of land to serve the upgrading and expansion of inter-village roads, contributing to completing infrastructure and building new, spacious and clean rural areas.
Environmental protection and community health protection are regularly focused on; the movement of the entire people to protect national security is actively participated by the people; the political security situation, social order and safety in the area are guaranteed...
Mr. Tran Cam Tu hopes that in the coming time, leaders at all levels of Lao Cai province, Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front Committee, and mass organizations of Thac Ba commune and Ho Sen - Ngoi Len village will continue to promote the good traditions and achievements that have been achieved, and successfully implement the resolutions of Party congresses at all levels.
Organize patriotic emulation movements of the people well; encourage and motivate advanced models, outstanding collectives and individuals, create a vibrant emulation movement, arouse the desire to get rich for families, homeland and country. Continue to mobilize and mobilize resources from the community to care for and help the poor and those in difficult circumstances.
On this occasion, the Standing Committee of the Secretariat presented gifts to the people of the two villages and 10 exemplary individual households; the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front presented 20 gifts to disadvantaged households in the commune; leaders of the Central and Lao Cai provinces presented 20 bicycles to students in the village.
