On the morning of November 1, the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lao Cai province, term 2025 - 2030, held an official session.
Attending, congratulating and directing the congress, on the side of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) were Ms. Ha Thi Nga - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the VFF Central Committee; leaders and experts of the professional departments of the VFF Central Committee.
On the side of Lao Cai province, there were Mr. Trinh Viet Hung - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Hoang Giang - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Tran Huy Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Ms. Giang Thi Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province.
In addition, members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Standing members of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, National Assembly Delegation of the province; leaders of provincial departments, branches, and sectors... and 375 outstanding delegates, representing the will, thoughts, and aspirations of the working class, farmers, intellectuals, armed forces, ethnic minorities, religions, and businessmen in the whole province.
Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Giang Thi Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province emphasized that in the past term, propaganda, mobilization, and gathering of all classes of people continued to be innovative and effective; supervision and social criticism activities were increasingly substantial; patriotic emulation movements spread strongly.
In particular, the movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lao Cai province and socio-political organizations has made a deep impression.
With the spirit of "whoever has something to contribute, whoever has merits to contribute, whoever has property to contribute", the movement mobilizes social resources, reduces the burden on the budget, improves the quality of the project.
The whole Lao Cai province has repaired 3,410 houses "Great Unity", "Farmers' Love", "Warm House", "Red scarves House", "Union Shelter", "Compassionate House" ... worth more than 130.6 billion VND, contributing to the whole province completing 12,915 houses, reaching 100% of the plan and reaching the finish line 77 days early (as of August 31, 2025). Total mobilized resources reached more than 1,458 billion VND.
At the same time, the movement "Lao Cai joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind" was effectively implemented, supporting housing, livelihoods, and social security. The Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels of Lao Cai province has mobilized more than 349 billion VND for the "For the Poor" Fund and social security programs, contributing to supporting thousands of households to stabilize their lives.
Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Ha Thi Nga - Vice Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front emphasized - The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province in the coming term needs to continue to promote the spirit of constant innovation, effectively lead the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and meet the needs and tasks in the new situation.
At the same time, the Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front directed that the limitations and shortcomings in the past term that the Congress's political report had mentioned should be overcome, and soon stabilized the organization and solidarity between ethnic groups...
At the discussion session, delegates frankly shared their experiences, lessons, and good practices in the work of the Front. At the same time, it also clearly stated the local reality, difficulties in work, requiring the leadership of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the new term with challenges and difficulties to overcome.
Entering the 2025 - 2030 term, the Lao Cai Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has identified digital transformation as a breakthrough direction. In 2026, the province aims to put digital meeting rooms into operation, build a community digital technology team in the Front system, and promote digital skills training for grassroots staff.
Other targets are also emphasized such as: building a model of "Solidarity - safety - happiness residential area"; presiding over more effective supervision and social criticism; mobilizing the construction of 100 Great Unity houses each year, mobilizing over 100 billion VND to implement social security programs, continuing to promote the core role in the great national unity bloc.
The Congress approved 4 breakthrough contents in the coming term: Strongly innovating the content and methods of operation of the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and mass associations; mobilizing, guiding, supporting union members, association members and people of all walks of life to start businesses, innovate, and be creative; organizing the activity "Listening to the People" every year, regularly organizing dialogues with union members, association members and people; unifying 6 action programs of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lao Cai province for the 2025 - 2030 term...
At the Congress, 114 delegates were elected to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province, term I, 2025 - 2030.
Ms. Giang Thi Dung - Deputy Secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee was elected to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province for the 2025 - 2030 term.
