On February 20, the People's Committee of Tien Giang province held a conference to announce the Resolutions of the Provincial People's Council on the arrangement of the apparatus and the Decisions of the Provincial People's Committee on the work of organizing cadres at agencies and units implementing the arrangement according to Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Central Executive Committee.
Accordingly, the Department of Finance was established on the basis of merging the Department of Finance and the Department of Planning and Investment, the Department of Science and Technology on the basis of merging the Department of Information and Communications and the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Home Affairs on the basis of merging the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the Department of Home Affairs, the Department of Construction on the basis of merging the Department of Transport and the Department of Construction, the Department of Agriculture and Environment on the basis of merging the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment. All take effect from March 1, 2025.
The Board of Directors of the Department of Finance includes Ms. Nguyen Kim Tuyen, who is the Director and 7 Deputy Directors.
The Board of Directors of the Department of Home Affairs includes Mr. Ly Van Cam as Director and 3 Deputy Directors.
The Board of Directors of the Department of Science and Technology includes Mr. Le Quang Khoi as Director and 4 Deputy Directors.
The Department of Construction's Board of Directors includes Mr. Tran Van Bon as Director and 6 Deputy Directors.
The Board of Directors of the Department of Agriculture and Environment includes Mr. Doan Van Phuong as Director and 7 Deputy Directors.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Danh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Tien Giang Province - requested that newly established departments, with new organizations, new apparatus and in new positions, need to have high determination, great efforts, and drastic actions; must demonstrate "right role, right lesson" in performing their tasks.
