The document was sent to the members of the Provincial Party Committees of the two provinces, Heads of departments, branches, and organizations of the two provinces, and Party Committees under the Provincial Party Committees of the two provinces.
Specifically, implementing the resolutions and conclusions of the Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat on the arrangement of the apparatus and administrative units, especially Conclusion No. 163-KL/TW, dated June 6, 2025 of the Politburo and the Secretariat; The Steering Committees of the two provinces require Party committees and Party organizations under the Provincial Party Committees of the two provinces to perform well the work.
Focus on leading and directing to speed up progress, carefully and thoroughly preparing all necessary conditions, ensuring all work from the work of reorganizing the apparatus and staff; transferring tasks; promulgating regulations on functions, tasks and working regulations.
Transferring finance, assets, documents, data; preparing information technology infrastructure, means, working conditions; conditions for means, accommodation, and travel of cadres; security and order work... must be completed no later than June 30, 2025, to put new commune-level organizations, agencies, and units into operation from July 1, 2025.
It is expected that the new An Giang province (after the merger) will be put into operation at the same time as the commune level from July 1, 2025.
There is a detailed implementation plan and a backup scenario to ensure that when the two provinces are officially merged, all activities of the new province, commune, ward, and special zone take place smoothly and seamlessly, without interruption at any stage.
The members of the Standing Committees of the Provincial Party Committees of the two provinces are assigned to be in charge of the affiliated Party Committees to strengthen inspection and monitoring of the situation, promptly direct the implementation of tasks, guide the removal of difficulties and problems arising, and ensure progress.
