On November 14, the National Assembly Standing Committee met to consider and decide on the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units for the 2023-2025 period of 12 provinces and cities.
The list of localities considered for administrative unit arrangement in this period includes: An Giang, Dong Thap, Ha Nam, Hanoi, Ha Tinh, Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Tho, Son La, Quang Ngai, Quang Tri, Tra Vinh, Vinh Phuc.
Notably, at the meeting, the representative of Ha Nam province's leadership also explained the reason for establishing 10 wards (Kim Bang town).
According to the project to establish Kim Bang town and wards of Kim Bang town, Kim Bang town (Ha Nam) will be established on the basis of maintaining the entire natural area and population size of Kim Bang district.
After its establishment, Kim Bang town had 17 commune-level administrative units, including 10 wards and 7 communes.
Currently, Kim Bang district has met 5/5 standards of a provincial town, including standards on population size; natural area; affiliated administrative units; has been recognized as a type IV urban area; and socio-economic development structure and level.
Accordingly, when arranging administrative units, 10 wards will be established in Kim Bang town including: Que, Ba Sao, Tuong Linh, Thi Son, Dong Hoa, Ngoc Son, Dai Cuong, Le Ho, Tan Son, Tan Tuu.
These units all meet 4/4 ward standards according to regulations.
