On the morning of April 24, Long An Provincial Party Executive Committee held the Conference to approve the draft scheme on arranging and reorganizing the commune -level administrative units and the Scheme on the consolidation of the administrative unit of Tay Ninh province and Long An province. Secretary of Long An Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Quyet; Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Delegation Delegation of Long An Province Nguyen Thanh Hai; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut chaired the Conference.
At the Conference, the delegates agreed highly through the draft project of arranging and reorganizing the administrative unit at the commune level and the project of consolidating administrative units of Tay Ninh province and Long An province. The reorganization and reorganization of administrative units at all levels and building a model of local government organizations are necessary to expand and ensure the uniformity of geographical space, the connection of resources, layout and use appropriately, economically and effectively the country's development resources.
Through a survey on the Project to reorganize and reorganize commune-level administrative units, voters and people in Long An province have had high consensus on the names of commune-level administrative units after the arrangement. Provincial administrative unit named Tay Ninh, with a natural area of 8,536.5 km2 (reaching 170% of the standard), the population size is 3,288,307 people (reaching 234.9% of the standard), expected 96 communal administrative units are affiliated. After the merger, Tay Ninh province just put the political -administrative center in Tan An city today. At the same time, arranging a reasonable number of cadres and civil servants working in Tay Ninh city to ensure the management in the areas of Tay Ninh province today and reduce difficulties in travel and activities of cadres, civil servants, officials and employees in the first period of consolidation.
Concluding the conference, Long An Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quyet requested agencies and units subject to reorganization to continue to complete the Project of innovation, streamlining the political system to be streamlined, effective and efficient in accordance with the direction of the Central Government.
