On the afternoon of June 13, the National Assembly discussed the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), the Law on Trade Unions, the Law on Youth and the Law on Grassroots Democracy.
Speaking to explain and clarify some issues raised by delegates, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien said that he would fully absorb and grasp the opinions to complete the draft law to submit to the National Assembly for consideration and decision.
Mr. Do Van Chien said that the draft law has closely followed and properly implemented the Party's policies, referring to the provisions of the Constitution and related laws.
The Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has developed a very elaborate and in-depth project with full political and legal basis, close to reality and accompanying the submission.
Regarding the contents that the delegates were interested in, there was a meaning to clarify, deepen the dependent and proactive creativity of socio-political organizations when they came under the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
According to Mr. Do Van Chien, in terms of affiliated nature, a joint advisory agency for the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations has been merged and established. The heads of socio-political organizations will also be unanimously elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
The Party organization in the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations are all organizations under the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Central organizations and orientation for general leadership and activities and will lead and direct the work of organizing cadres, managing assets and finances.

The proactive and creative nature of socio-political organizations is shown in the following 3 points:
Firstly, when implementing the laws of the Trade Union, Farmers, Youth Union, Women... still organize congresses, issue their charter, elect executive committees, standing committees, chairmen, vice chairmen as at present, still a separate organization.
Second, in their activities, socio-political organizations proactively coordinate work with relevant departments, ministries, branches, provinces and cities according to the charter of their organizations and assigned functions and tasks.
In particular, the Trade Union Law has deeply emphasized the role and legal status of Trade Unions. Vietnam Trade Union is the only representative of workers at the national level in labor relations and international relations with the Trade Union.
Third, the Central agencies of the Front, the Central agencies of socio-political organizations have the right to submit the draft law to the National Assembly, submit the draft resolution to the National Assembly Standing Committee and other member organizations of the Front for approval of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
At this session, the National Assembly will consider amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Law on Trade Unions, the Law on Youth and the Law on Grassroots Democracy. These are very important contents to successfully implement the Party and State's policies on the revolution, streamlining the apparatus to be streamlined, strong, efficient, effective and efficient.
The draft law also creates a legal basis for the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and promotes the people's mastery. This is also the sentiment and responsibility of the National Assembly contributing to consolidating and strengthening the great national unity bloc, an extremely precious tradition of our nation.
