On May 8, information from the Government Inspectorate said that, implementing Plan No. 96/KH-TTCP on inspection and review of the settlement of long-term complaints and denunciations, the Government Inspectorate's Working Group No. 1, headed by Mr. Duong Quoc Huy - Deputy Inspector General of the Government, had a working session with the Hai Phong City People's Committee.
Reporting at the meeting, Mr. Vu Duy Tung - Chief Inspector of Hai Phong City said that in the past time, the locality has focused on urgently implementing the direction, review, and settlement of long-standing complaints and denunciations.
The Standing Committee of the Hai Phong City Party Committee issued Decision No. 1837-QD/TU dated April 17 to establish a Working Group and a Working Group to assist in reviewing and resolving prolonged complaints and denunciations.
Through the review, Hai Phong city has 9 cases, including 1 case inspected and handled by the Government Inspectorate; 8 cases inspected and handled by the city.
The working group of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee recommended that Working Group No. 1 of the Government Inspectorate remove 9 cases from the list of complicated complaints and denunciations.
After listening to the opinions of members of the 1st Working Group of the Government Inspectorate, departments, branches and localities, Deputy General Inspector of the Government Duong Quoc Huy assessed that Hai Phong is one of the localities seriously implementing the Law on Citizens Reception, Law on Complaints and Denunciation Law; Hai Phong city regularly receives citizens as prescribed.
The Deputy Inspector General requested the leaders of Hai Phong city to direct relevant departments and branches to continue reviewing the cases, see whether they have exercised all their authority and the content of citizens' complaints, have applied the provisions of the law within the permitted scope, consider handling administrative and economic responsibilities and then organize dialogues with citizens.
Deputy Inspector General of the Government Duong Quoc Huy affirmed that the Government Inspectorate will work with Hai Phong city to dialogue with citizens to completely resolve the long-standing cases.
Mr. Huy said that through the dialogue, the People's Committee of Hai Phong City has guided people to comply with the provisions of the law, and at the same time specifically determined that if the matter has been resolved in accordance with regulations, a decision will be issued to terminate the case.
