Today, in the land of Quang Ninh, rich in revolutionary traditions, dynamic and developed, I am very pleased to attend the Opening Ceremony of the 17th National Radio Festival - an event of profound political, social and cultural significance, contributing practically to celebrating the success of the 14th National Party Congress, the 16th National Assembly election and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, along with many important events of the country.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, I respectfully send to comrades, distinguished delegates, generations of radio workers nationwide, international friends and the entire People warm greetings, wishes for good health and the best feelings.

During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh affirmed: "Radio is an extremely important tool of the Party and Government to direct and mobilize the People", "It is necessary to preserve the voice of the Party, Government and People in all situations". Those reminders still retain their value, continuing to illuminate the development of radio in the new era. Through historical periods, "The Voice of Vietnam" has echoed as a sacred symbol of national independence, opening up a sustainable and resilient revolutionary information flow, sharp propaganda means, and a reliable bridge between the Party, State and People.
In the context of information explosion and strong digital transformation, Vietnamese radio has made important changes, from traditional methods to multi-platform ecosystems; expanding broadcast space, diversifying content, and reaching the public more deeply. Thereby, continuing to affirm its role as a legitimate, reliable, and responsive information channel, contributing to orienting public opinion, spreading good values, and consolidating the people's trust in the Party and the State. Currently, the world and regional situation is developing rapidly and complicatedly; information competition is increasingly fierce; the achievements of the scientific and technological revolution have strongly impacted all aspects of social life. Therefore, radio needs to continue to affirm its pioneering role on the ideological and cultural front, maintaining the "information battlefield", contributing to protecting the Party's ideological foundation.
The 17th National Radio Festival, with the theme "Radio for a strong and prosperous Vietnam", is not only an opportunity to honor outstanding works, but also an important forum to shape the development direction of Vietnamese radio in the digital age. The expansion of content, strengthening the element of international integration, and bringing digital radio products into the competition system have clearly shown innovative thinking, catching up with the development trends of the times.
In order for the Festival to truly spread its value, promote its role, and make more effective contributions to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland; and at the same time contribute to improving the quality of radio broadcasting activities in the coming time, I propose to focus on a number of key tasks:
1. Continue to affirm and maintain the role of radio as the official voice of the Party, State and People. Each program and each work must promptly and accurately convey the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws; proactively fight against wrong and hostile views, and firmly protect the Party's ideological foundation.
2. Improve the quality of content in a precise, attractive, humane and highly oriented direction. Radio broadcasting must not only report but also lead awareness, arouse aspirations for development, spread good values, encourage the spirit of innovation, dare to think, dare to do for the common benefit of the country.
3. Promote comprehensive digital transformation, build a multi-platform radio ecosystem; strongly apply digital technology, artificial intelligence, big data to improve the quality of production, content distribution and expand public access.
4. Promote the role of radio as a reliable forum for the People. Strengthen listening, truthfully and promptly reflect the thoughts and legitimate aspirations of the People; contribute to perfecting policies, consolidating social consensus and strengthening the great national unity bloc.
5. Pay attention to building a team of radio workers with firm political bravery, bright professional ethics, good expertise, and mastering modern technology. This is a decisive factor in the quality and prestige of radio in the new period.
