President of the Republic of Mozambique Filipe Jacinto Nyusi and his wife are on an official visit to Vietnam from September 8-10 at the invitation of General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife.

This is President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi's first visit to Vietnam since he took office in 2015. The visit helps the leaders of the two countries enhance mutual understanding, while developing bilateral relations in a substantive and in-depth manner.
After the welcoming ceremony, General Secretary and President To Lam and President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi had a small meeting and then led high-ranking delegations from the two countries to hold talks, assessing the results of cooperation between the two countries in recent times and proposing directions for cooperation in the future.
