A new feature in the organization of the award ceremony is the combination of the ceremony to commend outstanding Party cell secretaries with the announcement and award ceremony of the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award.
This year, the Central Organization Committee proposed and was approved by the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee to organize the selection and commendation of 96 outstanding Party cell secretaries nationwide (corresponding to 96 years of Party establishment).
96 Party cell secretaries are typical and exemplary comrades selected and introduced by Party committees at all levels; they are Party cell secretaries who have excellently completed their assigned tasks, have prestige, many achievements, good models, new ways of doing things, bringing specific and practical results in Party building, socio-economic development, improving people's lives in the locality, and building the great national unity bloc.

The 10th Golden Hammer and Sickle Award in 2025 was launched from January 20, 2025 at the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the 9th Golden Hammer and Sickle Award. As of the time of receipt of entries, the Standing Agency of the Award (Communist Magazine) received a total of 2,296 works.
Including 643 print newspaper works, 866 electronic newspaper works, 464 television works, 230 radio works and 93 press photo works.
The final jury selected the best works and submitted them to the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award Steering Committee for decision to award 6 A prizes, 13 B prizes, 18 C prizes, 10 thematic prizes and 35 consolation prizes.
The Standing Agency of the Award also submitted to the Steering Committee for the Award decision to commend 15 collectives with outstanding achievements in organizing and implementing the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award in localities and units.
