General Secretary To Lam welcomed Korean enterprises to participate more deeply in the process of energy transition and modernization of national infrastructure.

Within the framework of the state visit to Korea, on the afternoon of August 12, General Secretary To Lam and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation met with a number of leaders, Chairmen, and General Directors of leading Korean corporations that have, are, and are planning to invest in Vietnam.

At the meeting, representatives of Posco, Hyundai Motor, GS, HD Hyundai, Hyosung, Samsung Electronics, LG Display, Daewoo E&C, Lotte shared the results of investment cooperation, as well as investment and business plans in the fields of industry, energy, technology, services, infrastructure in Vietnam; promised to promote projects on energy, electronics, rare earth, urban areas, commercial centers, etc.

Representatives of enterprises assessed Vietnam's development vision, as well as innovation policies for socio-economic development; committed to accompanying Vietnamese enterprises for mutual development. Many opinions suggested continuing to receive support, creating a favorable business environment for more effective investment and business, contributing to the economic development of Vietnam.

After listening to the opinions, General Secretary To Lam acknowledged and highly appreciated the sincere cooperation, strategic vision and strong belief in the development prospects of Vietnam - Korea relations of Korean enterprises. The proposals not only demonstrate long-term commitments to the Vietnamese and regional markets, but also open up new cooperation spaces, in line with the development trend of the times and the strategic interests of both countries.

General Secretary To Lam expressed his appreciation for the contributions of large Korean corporations to the Vietnamese economy in recent times, as well as hoped that Korean corporations and enterprises would continue to cooperate in investment and business, expanding markets in Vietnam.

The General Secretary highly appreciated the proposal to support Vietnamese enterprises to participate more deeply in the global supply chain; affirmed that Vietnam is ready to be an important gateway for Korean enterprises to participate in the Southeast Asian market; welcomed Korean enterprises with experience and advanced technology to participate more deeply in the energy transition process and modernize national infrastructure.

The General Secretary emphasized that Vietnam and South Korea are facing new, deeper, more comprehensive and more strategic cooperation opportunities; believing that with the foundation of political trust, mutual support in economy and the aspiration for sustainable development, businesses of the two countries will be the guides to bring Vietnam - Korea relations to new heights.

The General Secretary affirmed that Vietnam always supports and accompanies Korean enterprises, committed to creating a more fair, transparent, stable and favorable investment environment; together fostering trust, overcoming challenges, sharing development results and creating a new era of Vietnam - Korea cooperation.
