General Secretary To Lam emphasized this content in his meeting with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission on the implementation of tasks since the merger, this afternoon (June 11).
To continue promoting the role of propaganda work "going ahead - paving the way, going along - implementing" and mass mobilization work is the "responsibility of the political system", the General Secretary suggested that the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee, the entire propaganda and mass mobilization sector nationwide focus on implementing key tasks.
In which, 10 key tasks assigned at the meeting with the two Committees before the merger were implemented.
The General Secretary emphasized the importance of building a team of propaganda and mass mobilization cadres who are truly loyal soldiers on the ideological and mass mobilization front of the Party.
Noting the top key tasks from now until the 14th National Party Congress, the General Secretary requested to review the Party's directives on propaganda and mass mobilization work, and in the immediate future, focus on submitting to the Politburo and the Secretariat the remaining 14 projects to ensure progress, efficiency and quality.
The General Secretary clearly stated the task of promoting propaganda, creating social consensus, arousing and promoting the aspiration for national development of people and businesses, both domestically and internationally; satisfying the desire to contribute of the talented and resourceful people of the country in all classes of people, so that the wave of patriotism and nationalism is strong, practical, and spreading widely.
Continue to innovate the way of organizing the dissemination of resolutions, reduce conferences, increase practicality, apply technology, digital transformation to penetrate the Party's policies and guidelines deep into the hearts and minds of each cadre, Party member and People.
The General Secretary requested the system of agencies working in propaganda and mass mobilization work to focus all their efforts to propagate and mobilize union members, association members and people of all walks of life to "understand correctly, clearly and highly agree" with policies and strategies on streamlining the apparatus, merging administrative units, amending and supplementing the 2013 Constitution and perfecting legal institutions...
In particular, it is necessary to promptly evaluate the effectiveness, research and direct the construction of communication platforms about Vietnam to international friends (first in English, operating 24/7) to promote the country's image, provide official information from domestic to countries, organizations and people in the region and the world, affirming the increasingly high role and position of Vietnam in the international arena.
The Committee needs to closely coordinate with the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations to ensure publicity, transparency, and promote the people's mastery.
development and replication of typical examples, talents and talents of the country, not only domestically but also with the overseas Vietnamese community and international friends, to attract all resources for national development.

Strengthen cyberspace monitoring, strictly handle acts of spreading false information, distorting information, and sabotage. Promote the role of the People in monitoring, social criticism, practical democratic practice, associated with fighting corruption and waste, especially "waste of time, trust, responsibility".
The General Secretary emphasized the need to attach importance to the role of cultural and educational work in the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
Culture, arts, science, education... must truly become a light to guide the way, a solid foundation for the entire Party, people, and army to successfully realize the Party's strategic goals, contributing more and more to the development of the country and moreover, contributing to human civilization.
