On the afternoon of June 11, General Secretary To Lam worked with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission on the implementation of tasks since the merger.
Also attending the meeting were Politburo members: Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Nguyen Duy Ngoc. Also attending was Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Le Hoai Trung.
Also attending were members of the Party Central Committee, leaders of departments, ministries, branches, and leaders of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee.

Speaking at the opening of the working session, General Secretary To Lam said that today is the first working session after the merger of two agencies, the Central Propaganda Department and the Central Mass Mobilization Department. The working content focused on assessing the implementation of tasks since the merger to date, looking back at the results of propaganda and mass mobilization work from the beginning of the term to date, and some key tasks from now until the 14th National Party Congress.
The General Secretary said that in recent times, the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat have focused on implementing many important tasks, urgently, synchronously, bringing together the results. To successfully carry out these tasks requires high unity throughout the Party, arousing the aspiration to develop the country among Party members and people of all walks of life.
"The responsible role of the propaganda and mass mobilization sector is huge. How to propagate the Party's goals and policies so that all classes of people can agree and support" - the General Secretary emphasized.

According to the General Secretary, the stability and high unity in the Party, the consensus and trust of the people are very important, including very important contributions from the propaganda and mass mobilization sector.
The General Secretary also noted that we are also facing great difficulties and challenges, requiring innovation in thinking, not falling asleep on the laurel wreath to successfully carry out tasks.
The General Secretary suggested that the delegates discuss frankly and substantially the issues, difficulties and challenges that arise today to improve the quality and solutions for propaganda and mass mobilization work in the current context.
Deploying many important tasks
At the meeting, Mr. Lai Xuan Mon - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee presented a summary report on the work results of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee.
The report said that from the beginning of the 13th Congress term until before the merger, the Central Propaganda Department and the Central Mass Mobilization Department have closely followed the leadership and direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat, etc. be proactive, innovative, and creative in advising on major policies and orientations on propaganda and mass mobilization work.
Since the merger, the collective leadership of the Board, the team of cadres, party members, civil servants, and workers have been united, unanimous, and soon stabilized their ideology, making efforts to focus on implementing key tasks.
In particular, the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus is being vigorously implemented. After the merger, the unit level has been reduced from 31 to 17 cases (reaching 45.2%); the unit level has been reduced from 33 to 7 departments (reaching 78.8%). The total number of staff before the merger was 396; now after the merger, the remaining staff will be transferred to 310 positions.

The Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee proactively coordinates with localities to reorganize and streamline the apparatus of local propaganda, mass mobilization and press agencies; promptly issue instructions and documents to direct and urge ministries, branches and localities to reorganize press agencies in accordance with the direction of the Politburo and the Secretariat.
Actively participate in appraisal and giving comments on projects to rearrange and reorganize administrative units at all levels, build a 2-level local government model; arrange socio-political organizations and mass organizations.
Since the beginning of 2025, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee has advised and organized 2 national conferences to disseminate the resolution with an increasingly innovative and practical learning form.
The report also said that the Committee has proactively grasped the situation of the people, public opinion and fought to protect the Party's ideological foundation.
The Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee advises and coordinates the successful organization of events, programs, and activities to celebrate major holidays of the Party and the country.
