This afternoon (December 19), in Hanoi, the Central Party Secretariat held a national conference to review the Party's inspection, supervision and discipline work in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025.
According to VNA, speaking at the conference, on behalf of the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat, General Secretary To Lam welcomed and commended the achievements of Party committees and inspection committees at all levels in the Party's inspection and supervision work since the beginning of the term as well as in 2024.
In addition to the results and achievements, the General Secretary also requested the inspection sector to be frank, open-minded, and seriously acknowledge some limitations and shortcomings in order to promptly overcome and correct them.
The General Secretary emphasized that the period from now until the end of the term is a very important period to complete the tasks of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, Resolution 18-NQ/TW on streamlining the political system's apparatus to operate effectively and efficiently, and the Central Committee's resolutions on Party building and rectification; and to prepare for Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress.
The General Secretary requested that Party committees, Party organizations and inspection committees at all levels continue to synchronously implement solutions to prevent violations and negativity; strictly handle violations based on the principle of "if there are violations, they must be concluded and handled", "no forbidden areas, no exceptions"; strengthen the building of a clean and strong Party to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation.
The General Secretary requested to urgently arrange and streamline the apparatus of the inspection committee in accordance with the plan of the Steering Committee to ensure synchronization, unity, streamlining - compact - strong - effective - efficient - effective to meet the requirements of new tasks. Streamlining the apparatus goes hand in hand with restructuring the organization, the inspection staff at all levels must ensure adequate qualities, capacity, and be on par with the tasks.
The Central Inspection Commission urgently studies and reviews to advise on timely amendments and supplements to the Party's regulations on inspection and supervision work in accordance with the new Party organization model nationwide; ensuring proper authority, functions and tasks; properly implementing the principle that wherever there are activities of Party organizations and Party members, there must be inspection and supervision, not leaving any areas or fields vacant. Advise on the development and promulgation of coordination regulations between the Central Inspection Commission and a number of Party organizations immediately after completing the project to rearrange and streamline the apparatus.
The General Secretary noted that it is necessary to continue to strongly innovate inspection and supervision methods and methods; promote digital transformation and apply information technology to further improve the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of inspection, supervision and discipline work of the Party.
Proactively advise the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat and Party committees at all levels to lead, direct and organize the effective implementation of the 2025 program and plan, and effectively carry out self-inspection and supervision in localities and units; promptly remind, warn, prevent and stop violations early and from afar; during the implementation process, the principles, methods and regulations on the Party's inspection and supervision work must be strictly followed.
Emphasizing that the tasks of Party building and inspection and supervision that need to be carried out from now until the 14th National Party Congress are very large and face many difficulties and challenges, General Secretary To Lam suggested that Party committees, Party organizations, inspection committees at all levels and cadres and Party members throughout the Party need to focus on directing, implementing resolutely and resolutely to complete the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress right in their localities, sectors and units.
