On the afternoon of October 29, General Secretary To Lam had a working session with the Central Propaganda Department on the results of the implementation of tasks since the beginning of the 13th National Congress term.
Attending the meeting were Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of Central Propaganda Nguyen Trong Nghia. Also attending was Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of Office of the Party Central Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, General Secretary To Lam acknowledged, commended and congratulated the achievements and results that the Central Propaganda Department has achieved in recent times.
At the same time, the General Secretary also acknowledged and appreciated the spirit of assessing limitations and shortcomings and suggesting a number of issues for the Central Propaganda Department to analyze, discuss and soon have solutions to create clear changes in the coming time.
General Secretary To Lam also said that recently, the messages of the Party and State leaders have created an exciting atmosphere, arousing confidence, self-reliance, national pride, and aspirations to rise up among cadres, party members, and the masses. From this reality, what should the Central Propaganda Department do, what solutions should it propose to promote and maintain this social mood? This is an urgent requirement of the Party for the current work of the Central Propaganda Department.
“The spiritual foundation of cadres, party members and people plays a particularly important role in creating new development miracles for the country. Spirit is a special form of labor and creativity, especially in the digital age,” the General Secretary emphasized.
Emphasizing that propaganda work in the era of national development is facing new and urgent requirements and tasks, General Secretary To Lam requested that in the coming time, it is necessary to continue to unify the perception that propaganda work is the work of the Party, of Party committees at all levels, Party organizations, each Party cell and Party member; the Central Propaganda Department must do well its role of advising, coordinating, urging and guiding so that the entire Party, first of all each Party cell and each Party member, can do this work well.
Timely advice to the Party to effectively resolve emerging practical problems
General Secretary To Lam requested that the goal of propaganda work in the new revolutionary period must be achieved, which is: Creating clarity, solidarity, unanimity, creating a competitive atmosphere in the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army to implement the Party's policies and viewpoints, the State's policies and laws; must make the Party's and State's viewpoints penetrate deeply into the hearts and minds of each Party member and each citizen, arouse the will, motivate the entire people to act with determination, promote patriotism, the spirit of great national solidarity; the spirit of self-reliance, self-improvement, creativity, create a revolutionary action movement of the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army to successfully implement the strategic goals of 100 years under the Party's leadership, 100 years of the country's founding. Frustrate all plots and activities of ideological sabotage by hostile and reactionary forces.
At the same time, continue to strongly innovate propaganda work in the direction of being proactive, close to reality, sensitive, detecting and promptly advising the Party to effectively resolve emerging practical problems.
General Secretary To Lam also requested to focus on building a team of propaganda cadres who are truly steadfast soldiers on the Party's ideological and propaganda front, united, creative, wholeheartedly serving the Fatherland and the people.
Building a team of propaganda cadres with strong political will, clean and healthy ethics and lifestyle, passion and dedication to the profession, always focusing on the grassroots, closely following reality and closely attached to the people, doing a good job of setting an example, always cultivating thinking skills, speaking and writing skills, always taking Ho Chi Minh's thought as the basis for propaganda and mobilizing the masses; always accurately reflecting objective reality, looking straight at the truth, with the Party's viewpoint.
