According to the Government's electronic information portal, implementing the decision of the Ministry of National Defense, on November 12, the Naval Region 4 Command held a conference to hand over the responsibilities and tasks of the Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Region 4.
According to the decision of the Ministry of National Defense and the Standing Committee of the Navy Party Committee, Lieutenant Colonel Bui Xuan Binh - Head of the Navy Personnel Department was appointed to the position of Political Commissar and Secretary of the Navy Region 4 Party Committee to replace Rear Admiral Ngo Van Thuan who retired according to the regime.
Speaking here, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Bong - Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Navy - hopes that in his new position, Senior Colonel Bui Xuan Binh will continue to promote the achievements and results achieved together with the Party Committee and Command of Region 4 to focus on leading and directing agencies and units to well perform assigned tasks.
The key task of the Region in the coming time is to do a good job of directing Party committees at all levels in the Region to successfully organize Party congresses at all levels towards the 12th Congress of the Region Party Committee, term 2025-2030; directing the development and implementation of a plan to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of Region 4 and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Truong Sa, receiving the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces in the renewal period.
Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Bong also reminded the Party Committee and Command of Region 4 to continue building solidarity and unity; promoting democracy, maintaining work discipline; focusing on management, maintaining discipline, strengthening the building of regular order, training discipline, and ensuring safety in all aspects.
Regarding the personnel work of the Ministry of National Defense, the Prime Minister recently also made decisions to reappoint the Commander of Military Region 1 and extend the term of office of Political Commissar of the Navy.
In Decision No. 1355/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister reappointed Lieutenant General Nguyen Hong Thai - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Central Military Commission to hold the position of Commander of Military Region 1, Ministry of National Defense.
In Decision No. 1356/QD-TTg effective from December 31, 2024, the Prime Minister decided to extend the term of office until the end of active service age for Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Bong - Political Commissar of the Navy.
