Steel courage has been practiced since the early days of hardship
On the morning of August 20, a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Government took place in Hanoi (February 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025).
Speaking at the ceremony, General Secretary To Lam emphasized the sacred meaning of the event, taking place in the context of the whole country moving towards the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
Looking back in history, the General Secretary affirmed that 80 years ago, the young revolutionary government was born in the midst of countless difficulties, internal hatred, external war, hunger war, capitalist war, and empty starvation. It was in that difficult moment that the stele of a government of the people, by the people and for the people was forged and affirmed.
Having gone through difficult and challenging periods, generations of cadres and leaders of the Government are both national operatives and soldiers on the front lines.
"They are both institutional design architects and masters who built the first designs of a socialist rule-of-law state in extremely harsh conditions," the General Secretary emphasized.
During the two prolonged resistance wars, the Government shouldered the responsibility of operating the national apparatus in the context of war, converting resources into the strength of the entire people.
The General Secretary reiterated the spirit of "sharing a bowl of rice in half, sharing a bowl of rice in half", the Government has realized the motto "eating immodestly, responding to variety" - steadfast in the goal of free independence but flexible, flexible, and creative in all strategies.
After the country's reunification, the Government carries on the extremely heavy mission of healing the wounds of war, overcoming the consequences of ruins, and bringing the entire nation into a period of building, innovating, and developing.
When the renovation was initiated, the Government once again took the lead in innovation in thinking, shifting from a centralized, subsidized mechanism to a socialist-oriented market economy, laying the foundation for a new period of development.
General Secretary To Lam affirmed that behind the growth figures is the sweat, intelligence and enthusiasm of many generations of national governors. Behind the gradually emerging prosperity are the silent sacrifices of many generations of cadres who keep themselves clean, respect the law, and put national and ethnic interests above all.
