According to General Secretary To Lam, looking back at the past 50 years, Petrovietnam has made huge contributions, many years reaching 20%-30% of the total State Budget revenue, contributing significantly to stabilizing the macro economy, ensuring national energy security; Contributing to maintaining the life cycle of society, contributing to protecting regime security in times of difficulty, in the face of world political fluctuations.
Petrovietnam has mastered many modern technologies on par with the world, affirming its position as a leading state-owned enterprise, pioneering international economic integration.
In particular, with our intelligence and creativity, we have designed, manufactured and constructed the DK platform house, we have been autonomous in researching, producing and supplying specialty fuels for national defense and security... - General Secretary To Lam emphasized.
According to General Secretary To Lam, in the 2020-2025 term, despite many difficulties, Petrovietnam has overcome challenges and achieved outstanding achievements with the mission of "5 An" and the achievement of "5 First". The core lesson here is: discipline in implementation - risk management - continuous innovation - linking value chains.
General Secretary To Lam also highly appreciated Petrovietnam's initiative on the program " STEM Education and Practice Department". At the same time, it is recommended to closely coordinate with organizations, summarize, evaluate, learn from experience and further replicate this very meaningful model and program.
According to the General Secretary, the new development strategy needs to focus on 5 issues. In which, it is necessary to firmly ensure national energy security; lead industrialization and modernization; pioneer in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation.
At the same time, link the chain with the domestic economic component; encourage the public-private partnership (PPP) model in implementing investment projects. Complete the goal of Petrovietnam becoming one of the 500 largest enterprises in the world by 2030.

General Secretary To Lam suggested that the National Assembly Party Committee direct the National Assembly to perfect the legal system, create a legal corridor for a competitive energy market and promote the efficiency of state-owned enterprises.
The Government Party Committee directs the Government to concretize the policies of the Politburo in the operating regulations of Petrovietnam; continue to strongly implement decentralization and complete delegation of power.
Ministries, branches and localities coordinate, guide and create an open business environment, remove bottlenecks and bottlenecks to serve development; implement spatial and infrastructure planning; and at the same time create a national ecological energy industrial center.
