General Secretary: Emulation is not a temporary campaign but a beat of life

Emulation is not about chasing achievements but about daily food and drinks

This afternoon (September 24), the Central Military Commission - Ministry of National Defense held the 11th Emulation Congress for the Total Victory of the Army.

Speaking at the Congress, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that immediately after the Vietnam Propaganda and Liberation Army was born, the Emulation and Victory Movement was also formed. That is the will to fight, to win, to dare to fight, to dare to go first, to dare to accept difficult tasks, to dare to sacrifice, to work to the end to fulfill the orders of the Party, the Fatherland and the people.

Thanks to emulation, the unit has a common measurable goal, each person has a specific task, works to the point, to the point. Discipline becomes strength, initiatives become resources for "racing for patriotism, being patriotic must compete and those who compete are the most patriotic" has become a culture.

From there, the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers have been formed with their own characteristics, modesty but resilience; discipline but creativity; determination but kindness; determination to fight and win. Each soldier contributes his efforts to building an army loyal to the Party, filial to the people, ready to fight and sacrifice for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for socialism. Every task is completed, every difficulty is overcome, every enemy is defeated.

The General Secretary affirmed that the Emulation of Decision Winning is valuable because of its continuity and depth. Not a temporary launch but a smash in life. A criterion each day, a practical job each week, an initiative each month, and a solid result each quarter. The starting point is soldiers; the core is teams and squads; the driving force is platoon and company; the decision is the Party Committee and commander at all levels.

Avoid chasing the width limit, putting quality, efficiency, and depth first

The General Secretary stated that the requirement to build and protect the Fatherland in the new situation requires our army to be both disciplined, elite, modern, and mobile, flexible, and technologically smart.

In that context, Emulation and Victory must become an operating system for three roles: Combat teams take the criteria of training close to the battlefield, close to the combat object, close to the area, close to weapons and equipment as the axis; consider mastering weapons, equipment, and high technology as a mandatory index; consider safety and discipline as a red line.

The working army combines emulation goals with the task of mobilizing the masses, building a solid position of people's hearts; closely coordinating with the local political system; contributing to maintaining social stability, strengthening people's trust.

The production labor force promotes research - design - manufacturing; masters the production chain - ensures techniques; participates in socio-economic development in remote, isolated, border and island areas; promotes digital transformation in the defense industry and military logistics.

The General Secretary emphasized that the tradition of our Army's victory in the campaign has become the standard of action. Each officer and soldier must carry the blood of the Resolution to die for the Fatherland in their determination to study, practice training, practice fighting, be ready to fight, work in production, help the people, international cooperation and international obligations.

The General Secretary suggested that the entire army continue to rectify formal manifestations; absolutely avoid chasing outward signs; put quality, efficiency, and depth first. Emulation must make people better, units stronger, work more smooth, and the relationship between the army and the people stronger. Solidarity is the source of strength.
