Happy to share the particularly important results of the 14th Congress, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that the Congress has fulfilled its great historical responsibility, deeply summarized the reality of the Vietnamese revolution after 40 years of Doi Moi, set out major goals and directions, not only for the next 5-year term, but also identified strategic orientations for the future and destiny of the Vietnamese nation in the new era of development.
General Secretary To Lam affirmed that Vietnam always highly values and prioritizes the development of relations with China. The General Secretary requested the two sides to jointly bring political trust to a new height to comprehensively lead the fields of cooperation, continue to strengthen regular and flexible high-level exchanges; promote the pillar role of key fields: diplomacy, defense, police; promote creating breakthroughs and clear changes in substantive fields of cooperation.
General Secretary To Lam requested General Secretary and President Xi Jinping to pay attention to directing the expansion of imports of goods, especially Vietnamese agricultural and aquatic products; the two sides give the highest priority to railway cooperation, strengthen high-quality investment cooperation associated with technology transfer and human resource training; promote science and technology cooperation to become a new bright spot.
General Secretary and President Xi Jinping affirmed that China is ready to work with the Party and State of Vietnam to deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership, building a China-Vietnam Shared Future Community with strategic significance to a new level according to the "6 more" orientation.
Agreeing with the assessments of the regional international situation and measures to promote relations between the two Parties and the two countries that General Secretary To Lam mentioned, Comrade Xi Jinping affirmed that China is ready to join Vietnam in strengthening high-level exchanges, exchanges, and learning experiences in Party management and national governance; well organize the mechanism of the Steering Committee for bilateral cooperation and cooperation in the fields of diplomacy, defense, and police; affirmed that China is ready to import high-quality agricultural products from Vietnam and continue to encourage Chinese businesses to invest and do business in Vietnam.
Based on the positive progress in railway cooperation between the two countries, General Secretary and President Xi Jinping affirmed that China is ready to strengthen exchanges in the mechanism of the China-Vietnam Railway Cooperation Joint Committee, bringing railway cooperation between the two countries to substantial progress.
To strengthen the social foundation and roots of Vietnam-China friendship, Comrade Xi Jinping wished the two sides to do well in youth exchange activities, local cooperation and press information; affirming that China is ready to support Vietnam in building the Vietnamese Communist Party Museum.
The two sides agreed to maintain exchanges and close coordination at multilateral forums; better control and manage disagreements.
