Today (September 30), the 12th Army Party Congress, term 2025-2030, was solemnly held in Hanoi. 450 outstanding delegates representing the intelligence, political courage, will, belief and aspiration of more than 27,000 Party members in the entire Army Party Committee attended the congress.

Also attending the Congress were former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh; Politburo member, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; former Politburo member, former Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung; Politburo member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; former Politburo member, former National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung; Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu; Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien.
Also attending the Congress were Politburo members: Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee Le Minh Hung; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee Nguyen Trong Nghia; General Phan Van Giang - Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense; Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang.
Also attending were leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, Central Military Commission, and Ministry of National Defense.
The 12th Congress of the Army Party Committee is a particularly important milestone in the task of building and developing the Army in the new era - the era of the Vietnamese people's rise. With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Resolution - Breakthrough - Development", the congress demonstrated the determination to build a clean and strong Party Committee; build a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, modern People's Army, ready to accept and excellently complete all tasks, firmly protect the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam, contributing to maintaining a peaceful and stable environment, building a rich, prosperous, civilized and happy country.
At the congress, after the opening speech of General Phan Van Giang - Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense, the delegates listened to the representative of the Presidium present the Political Report and the Review Report of the Central Military Commission for the 2020-2025 term.
The Congress is tasked with evaluating 5 years of implementing the Resolution of the 11th Army Party Congress; deciding on directions, goals, tasks, and solutions for leadership and direction in implementing military and defense tasks and building a 5-year Army Party Committee (2025-2030); reviewing the leadership work of the Central Military Commission for the 2020-2025 term; discussing and contributing opinions to the draft documents of the 13th Central Executive Committee to submit to the 14th National Party Congress and electing a delegation of the Army Party Committee to attend the 14th National Party Congress.
