Within the framework of the state visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, on the morning of 6.5, General Secretary To Lam and the high -ranking delegation of Vietnam attended the round of the round table of Vietnam - Kazakhstan enterprise by the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, the Vietnamese Embassy in Kazakhstan.
According to VNA, speaking at the seminar, General Secretary To Lam acknowledged the results of investment and trade cooperation between Vietnam and Kazakhstan in recent times; and affirmed that the two countries have many favorable conditions to promote investment and trade cooperation in the coming time.
The General Secretary emphasized that the relationship between the two countries is increasingly strengthened. Vietnam and Kazakhstan both have open economies, exports play an important role, and are able to adapt to international trade principles. Both countries are members of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Vietnam and the ASEAN-EU, which is a favorable condition for the two countries to strengthen cooperation, deepen economic and trade relations, and promote two-way trade turnover growth between the two countries.
The General Secretary said that the two countries signed a Joint Action Plan to accelerate the development of economic and trade cooperation for the 2023-2025 period during the official visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Vietnam in August 2023.
Major airlines of Vietnam (Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air) are promoting the opening of direct flights from Vietnam to Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan is operating an international financial center in Astana city very successfully, while Vietnam is also building a financial center in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.

The General Secretary affirmed that Vietnam is committed to creating all favorable conditions for Kazakhstanese investors to successfully invest and do business in Vietnam. Considering the success of Kazakhstanese enterprises as also the success and pride of Vietnam; hoping that the business communities of both sides will promote advantages to build and form value chains, connecting the two countries and with the global market to enhance investment and business cooperation in the coming time.

The overseas investment certificate was granted by the Vietnamese Ministry of Finance to Aviation Holdings, a member of Vietjet Air, to conduct a strategic share purchase transaction at Qazaq Air.
Business franchise agreement between Vietjet Air and Qazaq Air: According to the cooperation agreement, the two sides will jointly develop and operate Vietjet Qazaqstan airline, formerly Qazaq Air.
Service contract between Vietjet Qazaqstan and Boeing: Accordingly, Vietjet Qazaqstan and Boeing Group signed a Framework Agreement on technical assistance for Vietjet Qazaqstan's Boeing 737 aircraft fleet. Boeing will provide comprehensive support from providing technical software, spare parts, pilot and engineer training, to aircraft maintenance and upgrading to ensure the fleet operates effectively and safely.
Vietjet Qazaqstan plans to operate at least 20 Boeing 737 aircraft, strongly expanding its domestic and international flight network. The airline will apply a modern operating model, digital governance and an advanced personnel training system with technical and operational support from Vietjet Air.
