VNA reported that on the afternoon of February 14, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary To Lam received Chairman of SK Group and Chairman of the Korean Chamber of Industry and Trade (KCCI) Chey Tae-won.
At the reception, welcoming the Chairman of SK Group to visit and work in Vietnam, General Secretary To Lam highly appreciated the achievements of SK Group in the process of investing and doing business in Vietnam in recent times; and at the same time thanked the Chairman and SK Group for their personal affection for Vietnam.
Expressing satisfaction with the good development of Vietnam - Korea relations in all fields, the General Secretary emphasized that Korea is always among the leading countries in investment and trade in Vietnam, on that basis the two countries are aiming for the goal of trade turnover of 150 billion USD by 2030; highly appreciating the practical contributions of Korean enterprises investing and doing business in Vietnam, including SK Group, thereby making an important contribution to the socio-economic development of Vietnam.

Appreciating SK Group's plan to implement new projects in Vietnam in line with Vietnam's socio-economic development orientations, the General Secretary suggested that SK Group cooperate closely with relevant agencies and localities in Vietnam to soon implement projects in the fastest, most substantial and effective way.
At the meeting, SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won reported on the investment activities of SK Group in Vietnam in the past time and the plan to expand investment in Vietnam in the coming time.
Emphasizing that SK Group has the world's leading capacity in the energy sector, SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won wishes to cooperate in implementing related fields in Vietnam to contribute to the sustainable development of the Vietnamese economy.
SK Group wishes to cooperate with Vietnam in implementing energy solutions combined with the development of key industries such as LNG infrastructure investment in Vietnam combined with the development of potential cooperation projects related to AI Data Center, hydrogen energy and small-scale modular reactors (SMR), high-tech agriculture and logistics.
