On February 20, at the 5th Executive Committee Conference, term 2023 - 2028 of the Trade Union of agencies and units under the General Confederation, Lao Dong Newspaper was one of two units to receive the Emulation Flag in 2024 of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union.
According to the assessment, grassroots trade unions have closely followed the programs and work plans of the higher-level trade unions, the workers' movement, and trade union activities at their agencies and units to synchronously implement many vibrant and widespread activities, implementing on schedule and ensuring quality.
One of the directions and tasks for 2025 of the Trade Union of agencies and units under the General Confederation of Labor is to propagate, grasp the thoughts and moods, mobilize union members, civil servants, public employees, and workers to trust and comply with the Party's guidelines and the State's policies on the contents related to the Summary of Resolution 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee "Some issues continue to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently", especially units that carry out the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus.
In addition, proactively coordinate with the leaders of agencies and units in ensuring occupational safety and hygiene, improving the environment and working conditions, taking care of and improving the material and spiritual life of union members, civil servants, public employees and workers.
Propagate and mobilize cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers to innovate and be creative, promote initiatives and improve techniques to improve labor productivity, work efficiency, and develop agencies, units, and enterprises; represent, care for, and protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members, civil servants, public employees, and workers according to the provisions of law.
Guiding and supporting the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union on the professional skills, methods, content of organizing the implementation of tasks, policies and resolutions of the trade union; propagating and mobilizing union members, civil servants, public employees, and workers to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and the obligations of citizens.
Evaluating the activities in 2024 of the units, the Vietnam Civil Servants' Union awarded Emulation Flags to 2 groups, including the Lao Dong Newspaper Union; awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 groups and 13 individuals.
The 2024 face Award was presented to Mr. Nhac Phan Linh - Deputy Director of the Institute for Strategic Research and Labor - Trade Union Magazine. The Executive Board of the Trade Union of the agencies and units under the General Confederation of Labor awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 collectives and 124 individuals.
