On January 30, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary Su Lin received Member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Committee for Foreign Affairs Liaison of the Communist Party of China Liu Haixing - Special Envoy of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping to visit and congratulate the success of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
General Secretary To Lam emphasized that the visit has profound political significance, showing the priority, high appreciation and sincere friendship of the Party, State and people of China towards the Party, State and people of Vietnam, as well as the tradition of solidarity and attachment between the two Communist Parties.
Comrade Liu Haixing conveyed congratulations from the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam; conveyed a letter from General Secretary and President Xi Jinping congratulating General Secretary Su Lin on being trusted by the entire Party and people nationwide, re-elected to the important position of General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party.
General Secretary To Lam emphasized that Vietnam always has special affection, deep respect and top priority for the close neighborly relationship between Vietnam and China; ready to work with General Secretary, President Xi Jinping and Chinese leaders to continue directing all levels and sectors, constantly cultivating and strengthening the relationship between the two Parties and two countries in the new era.
General Secretary To Lam requested the two sides to continue to consolidate political trust, maintain regular high-level strategic exchanges, build trustworthy and sincere relations between the highest leadership bodies of the two Parties and the two countries, strengthen theoretical and practical exchanges, continue to expand and deepen Party-level cooperation mechanisms at both the central and local levels; continue to improve the effectiveness of substantive cooperation, bring practical benefits to both sides, prioritize promoting railway cooperation, especially 3 standard gauge railway lines connecting the two countries, promote agricultural trade, further connect science and technology; constantly consolidate the solid social foundation of the relationship between the two countries to preserve and nurture the feelings between the people of the two countries, especially the young generation.
General Secretary To Lam also proposed that the two sides better control and resolve disagreements, respect each other's legitimate interests in accordance with high-level common perceptions and international law, and jointly maintain a peaceful and stable environment in the region.
Special Envoy of General Secretary and President Xi Jinping affirmed that China always highly values and prioritizes the development of friendly relations with Vietnam in its neighborly diplomacy policy; emphasizing Sino-Vietnamese relations under the strategic direction of the highest leaders of the two Parties, entering the best stage of development.
Comrade Liu Haixing emphasized that the Central Committee for Foreign Affairs Liaison of the Communist Party of China will closely coordinate with the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, making every effort to promote the role of a bridge to promote relations between the two Parties and the two countries, concretizing the high-level common understanding, most recently the phone call between the two General Secretaries, thereby orienting, leading, and creating new impetus for substantive cooperation between the two countries in all fields.
